Nano Nagle Resource Centre

Welcome to the Nano Nagle Resource Centre

The Nano Nagle Resource Centre stands at the heart of our school, offering a vibrant and welcoming environment for students of all year levels. This modern facility combines a well-stocked library with a variety of flexible learning spaces, designed to foster curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. Whether students are seeking a quiet corner to immerse themselves in a book or a dynamic area for group projects, the centre adapts to meet diverse learning needs.

Library and Book Borrowing

Central to the Resource Centre is our library, which provides access to a rich collection of books and resources for borrowing. Students are encouraged to explore new genres, discover favourite authors, and engage in regular reading for enjoyment. Research consistently shows that reading for pleasure is a key driver of educational success, supporting literacy, critical thinking, and lifelong learning. By making borrowing easy and enjoyable, the centre helps nurture a love of reading that extends beyond the classroom.

Specialist Arts and Music Lessons

The Nano Nagle Resource Centre is also home to specialist Arts and Music lessons, where students can express themselves creatively and develop new talents. Purpose-built spaces are equipped with modern instruments and art materials, allowing for engaging lessons in music, visual arts, and performance. These sessions not only enrich the curriculum but also provide opportunities for students to collaborate, perform, and showcase their achievements.

Modern Resources and Flexible Spaces

Designed with flexibility in mind, the centre features adaptable furniture and learning zones that can be reconfigured for whole-class activities, small group work, or individual learning. Modern technology and resources support a wide range of teaching and learning styles, ensuring that every student can access the tools they need to succeed.

Extension Learning and Support Services

The Nano Nagle Resource Centre is more than just a library—it is a hub for targeted and strategic teaching, extension learning tasks, and support services. Small groups regularly use the centre for focused instruction, enrichment activities, and intervention programmes. Specialist staff provide support such as speech and occupational therapy, ensuring that every student receives the guidance they need to thrive. The centre’s inclusive approach means that all students, regardless of background or ability, can benefit from its resources and expertise.
