Camps and excursions

School camps are an important learning and socializing experience and are part of our school curriculum for Years 5 and 6.

Each year the Year 6 class attend the Barambah Environmental Centre for various day and overnight field trips. They do workshops and have lessons on a range of issues including:

  • water management
  • alternative energies
  • cultural heritage
  • gold mining
  • the timber industry
  • plant and animal conservation

Every two years the Year 5 and 6 classes embark on a one week excursion to Canberra. They visit Parliament House, Questacon as well as many other educational and tourist destinations.
